是美国新闻发源地波士顿市区一所致力于传媒研究和实践的私立大学,
也是一所文理学院，在美国传媒业界及国际高等传媒教育领域有着公认重要地位。由于专致于传媒和人文专业, Emerson
College被划为美国大学的文理学院类别.
Emerson也是美国北部极其少数提供传媒和电影方向研究生学位的大学.
该校提供37个艺术和信息传媒的学位项目,
被新英格兰院校协会高度认可。学校设有通信学院，市场营销学院，通讯科学学院，新闻学院，表演艺术学院，视觉艺术和媒体学院，书面文学和出版学院等。在US

视觉艺术和媒体学院
艾默生学院的视觉艺术与媒体学院开设有两个跟电影相关的本科专业，一个是The Bachelor of

首先The Bachelor of Arts –
Production这个方向主要关注与于媒介艺术制作，尤其是电影，课程设置是循序渐进的:

Following the development of basic production skills in Level
2, students explore their production interests. The VMA Faculty has
developed Possible Plans of Study to help students navigate the
wide range of course options. The Possible Plans of Study are
optional and are meant only to serve as guides for
students.

最后一学期学生可以选顶点项目(Capstone
Project)去做，但问题是要经过院里的同意，所以是个选项。
如果你是个动手狂人，那艾默生的这个项目并不太适合你，怎么办？好办，别忘了咱们还有第二个项目——MEDIA
ARTS PRODUCTION
(BFA)，顺带着跟大家说一下，BA，MA这种学位在艺术专业里大多都是偏重于理论研究的，而BFA，MFA这些学位才是器材党的正主！
下面讲讲MEDIA ARTS PRODUCTION
(BFA)。其实一开始学生都是从BA开始读的，当然，如果你想挑战自己，学得更深入一些，大三的时候就可以申请BFA了，要求是GPA要达到3.0以上，竞争也比较激烈。
BFA比BA要多修16个学分，多修的课程都是与所选择的制作领域相关的。而且Capstone
Project的完成时间是一年，难度也上升了.
最后谈谈就业，波士顿地区对于学电影的学生来说不是很有优势，但是！从1988年开始，位于美国北部的爱默生学院就开始在洛杉矶开设了一个卫星校园——专门为学电影的学生服务。符合条件的大三和大四的学生可以在洛杉矶校区学习一个学期，主要是实习和高级操作课程，这个项目向艾默生的学生打开了好莱坞的大门！并竟然成了势，在好莱坞赢得了
“爱默生黑手党”的“美誉“。要知道，network这个东西在美国有多么的重要！！！
