胡征（1917-2007），祖藉湖北大悟，生于河南罗山。1938年，胡征和几个追求革命和真理的青年一道去到延安，同年加入中国共产党。他先在抗大学习，后来转入鲁艺文学系。在“抗大”时，与同学魏巍、侯亢等参加了柯仲平的“抗歌社”，将诗歌作为革命的武器。1955年陷入胡风冤案长达25年。1935年开始发表作品。著有诗集《主席台》、《七月的战争》（长诗）、《大进军》（长诗）《胡征诗选》等以及小说、理论集多部。
