32岁的安德斯 布雷维克（Anders Breivik），挪威贵族后裔，共济会会员，在他的facebook上有他带共济会徽章的照片，它属于St. Olaus T.D. Tre Soiler No. 8 in Oslo（支会)会员。他也是《圣经》原教旨主义者（犹太教圣经《旧约》的信奉者），是共济会圣殿骑士、马耳他骑士团骑士。他是狂热的锡安教徒、犹太复国主义信徒。
但是事件发生后，布雷维克所在的奥斯陆共济会已经宣布开除他的会籍。

Breivik's far-right militant ideology is described in an online manifesto 2083 – A European Declaration of Independence, posted on the day of the attacks (which Norwegian police said was written by Breivik) under the anglicised pseudonym Andrew Berwick and Sigurd the Crusader (after Sigurd I of Norway). His nationalist manifesto 'lays out his worldview, which includes an extreme, bizarre and rambling screed' including support for varying degrees of cultural conservatism, right-wing populism, anti-Islamization, Serbian paramilitariy and 'far-right Zionism'; and argues for the violent annihilation of Islam, Marxism, and multiculturalism from Europe. He claimed contact with Norwegian and international political movements.
Breivik listed Freemasonry as one of his interests on his Facebook page and was himself a Freemason. He had displayed photographs of himself in Masonic regalia on his Facebook profile and was a member of St. Olaus T.D. Tre Søiler No. 8 in Oslo.......His manifesto called for a revolution to be led by Knights Templar.（wikipedia）
