Compare to commerce in real world, E-commerce has much more convinces. For instance, if we open up a shop on tabao.com, we save a large amount of money for renting the house and the fee of electricity. We can also operate the orders online wherever we have access to the Internet. Moreover, the ads travel faster and wilder via the Internet. We can send message to friend and let them chat our good with other friends. They can easily get the link to our shop. Whenever I have new products in shop, I can put a status in my social network, which attracts more customers.
However, most importantly, E-commerce changes the traditional supply chain from producers to consumers. For instance, there is the wholesalers, distributers and retailers in-between the producers to the consumers. They may add up the price of products. The whole process waste time, so that the shop cannot catch up with the tendency and fashion. This may also cause low attraction of one shop, especially clothing shop
. However, E-commerce kills these annoying sections. There is no longer distributers and many retailers. Products go directly to customers. All we need to do is check the goods list, click one and leave an address.
Nevertheless, some companies argue that they still need reintermediation. Maybe they are small shopkeepers, it will be time and money consuming to deal with every single orders. Another advantage will be it is easier for shops that just open up to get more access to consumers, if they put on their shop information onto some big and famous shopping website. Small shopkeepers take use of the big rage of audience and attention of big commercial website to spread their fame. Just like, now Fengguo is popular among individual hand craft makers. It is the first brand who rents small boxes for hand craft makers to sale their works. So, Fengguo shop has many different types of products, which grabs nearly every attention to our society. If a girl goes there with her BF. She buys dolls and his BF may also buys comic toys. The average selling ratio would improve significantly. This principle works in same way in E-commerce.
One famous example is M18.com. It is a big online female shopping website. At the beginning, it is called euromoda, for it is the only clothing brand selling. 4 or 5 years later, this online shopping website changes its name to M18.com.
