瑞士海运公司在上海开设独资船务公司

上海市交通港口局消息，经交通运输部批准，目前世界上船队运力排名第二的国际集装箱航运巨头—地中海航运有限公司将在沪建立独资船务公司，为上海国际航运中心建设注入新活力。
地中海航运有限公司是一家创始于1970年、公司总部设在瑞士日内瓦、专门从事海洋运输业务的企业。经过近40年的科学经营，该公司如今在全球120多个国家设立分支机构，拥有350个代表处，船队运力近150万标准箱，成为紧随马士基集团的世界第二大国际集装箱航运巨头。
MSC的全称是地中海航运公司（Mediterranean Shipping Company S.A.），总部位于瑞士日内瓦。MSC于1970年建立，2007年成为按照集装箱运力和集装箱船数量排序的世界第二大航运公司。MSC目前在全世界有350个机构，28,000员工，255艘集装箱船，880,000 TEU的运力，在全球五大洲215个码头停靠，提供175条直航和组合航线服务。
