whole adj. 完全的，完整的

① 表示整体的可数名词单数 all my life = my whole life 我的一生
② 可数名词复数 all the teachers = the whole of the teachers 所有的老师
③ 不可数名词 all the water 所有的水（不能用the whole water）
2. In some places, the wall is 9.75 metres thick.（Lesson 10） thick adj. 厚的
______________ is the snow last night? 昨天晚上的雪下得有多厚？
This dictionary is about eight centimetres thick. 这本词典大约八厘米厚。

【拓展】farther, further further常表示“进一步，更加”，指的是抽象的“更远”。如：He went to London to have a further study. 他去了伦敦进行深造。

pull v. 拉，拖

☆ 比较级，最高级的规则变化
一般情况加er（est），以e结尾只加r（st）；
辅y变i加er（est），双写规则记住它。
如果遇到多音节，more和most来帮它。
