Devouring Time, blunt thou the
lion’s paws, 饕餮時魔，銼斬雄獅利爪， And make the earth devour
her own sweet brood; 令那大地吞噬其可愛生靈； Pluck the keen teeth from
the fierce tiger’s jaws, 橫扯兇殘貙虎之頜骨尖牙， And burn the long-lived phoenix
in her blood; 讓不死鳳凰於血焰中焚燼； Make glad and sorry seasons
as thou fleet’st, 光陰荏苒令四季留下悲喜， And do whate'er thou wilt,
swift-footed time, 白駒過隙，時魔胡作非為， To the wide world and all
her fading sweets; 令百花褪色世間萬物凋敝； But I forbid thee one most
heinous crime: 然吾欲禁汝一樁彌天大罪：
O！carve not
with thy hours my love’s
