I. Teaching aims
Knowledge and skills:
1) Master the following words and structures: tidy,noisy,Russia,tidy up,hang
up….
2) Improve
students’ skills in listening, speaking, reading and
writing.
Process and methods:
1) Using communicative
approach, interaction between teachers and students
to talk about their hobbies into the study of the
course.
2) Organize teaching and interactive learning by way of
question-and-answer drills and conversation practice, and then let
the students master the knowledge in the actual
communication.
3) Using encouragement approach, encourage students to use
the knowledge flexibly.
Emotion attitude and values:
1) Develop students’ confidence in showing their
ideas.
2) Improve students’ interests and confidence in
learning English.
3) Let students know they should show good manners in their
daily life and pass them on.
II. Analysis of students
1) Analysis of content:
The lesson focuses on Mr. Manner’s tips for Li
Ming and Dong Fang. Students
should know that good manners
about being a good host or a polite
guest.
2) Analysis of
students
Students in Grade 9 are curious about anything around them.
They can’t tell what is
right and what is
wrong. Some students even think
it’s cool to throw garbage
everywhere.
In the lesson, students are going to know about
they should show good manners in their
daily life and pass them on.
III. Teaching key and difficult points

2) Improve students’ language skills.
3) Know about many good manners at home or
school.
