Step 2 Presentation
1. Listen and guess
T: Im happy to see you again. I want to introduce a new friend to you.
T: Listen, What’s this? Miaow, miaow.(教师播放动物的声音
Ss: It’s a cat.
T: This is Kitty.
(教授单词Kitty,并让学生和Kitty打招呼)
2. Describe Kitty
T: Look at Kitty.
S: Its +颜色./It has ...(引导学生描述)
Say a rhyme: (二上所学歌谣)
I have a cat.
Its big and fat.
Look at my cat.
On the red mat.
3. Look and learn
T: Where’s Kitty?
S: It’s on the mat.
Teach: Wheres Kitty?
Chant: Where?Where? Wheres Kitty?
On, on. Its on the mat.
4. Look and say
T:(将猫咪Kitty的图片贴在沙发上)Look at Kitty. Wheres Kitty now?
S:(引导)It’s on the sofa.
Teach:sofa,注意a的发音
Say a chant:Where? Where? Where’s Kitty?
On, on. It’s on the sofa.
(将Kitty贴到vase上,教学并操练on the vase)
Teach:vase ,注意字母a的发音。
5. Hide-and-seek
T: Kitty the cat is so naughty. She wants to play hide-and-seek with us.
T: Can you guess: Where’s Kitty?
S1: Is it on the mat/vase/sofa ...?(引导学生用Is it...?提问
T: Look! It’s in the basket.
(Teach: in, basket)
Make a new chant:
Where? _______? Where’s ______?
In, in. It’s _______.
(引导学生猜一猜并教授:under)
Step 3 Story time
1. Think and guess
T:Kitty runs away.Where is Kitty now?
Ss: Is it in/on ...?
2. Watch and answer.
Q1: Is Kitty on the sofa?
No.It isn’t on the sofa.(teach: isn’t= is not)
Q2: Is it under the table?
No.It isn’t under the table.
Q3: Wheres Kitty?
It is behind the vase.(teach:behind)
3. Chant
Where, where, where’s Kitty?
Under, under, is it under the table?
No, no, it isn’t under the table.
Behind, behind, it’s behind the vase.
T:(出示图4)The vase is broken. Kitty is very naughty.
4. Watch and imitate(注意语音语调)
5. Read together/ in groups/ in pairs.
